This didn't get much play on the A4 B5 forum so I thought I'd check in with our local experts.

patient: 1999 A4q 30V V6 autotrans with throttle cable

I bought this project non-running throwing a 17967 P1559 throttle position controller code.

No benefit from running a TBA with the TB on the car.

I pulled the throttle body to clean it and watch the TBA in progress. I'm only seeing the plate move about 1/4 inch. The plastic stops in the gearing mechanism make it seem like this is normal, but I was expecting to see it hit WOT. The throttle cable is detached in the videos below.

*IS* this normal?

MY HTML skills suck! Click the blue link below for the video of the throttle body itself. Cut and paste this 'link' for video of the software output.

098 is for TBs with a good ole-fashioned cable.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/throttlebody.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/throttlebody.html</a</li></ul>

driver as she prefers silver over the cactus green A4 she's currently driving, plus the interior on the silver one is in better shape.
