Happy client = great gift for me. Now I need to figure out how many track days the stock tires/brakes can endure.

Talk to guys at Porterfield for racing brake pads. Your stock ones will likely melt after 2 laps.

To give you an idea, I run Hawk HPS for the street. One time I got to drive basically the whole track while going to a corner station (so car was setup for street not track). Now I was not driving as hard as I would for a track day doing this. But by the time I got to the corner station (turn 19), my brakes were smoking.

Check out the Porterfield R4 (just the R4 not R4-S) or one of the Performance Friction Pads (not sure exactly which one though, so ask).

http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/</a

My brakes didn't smoke, though I'm sure they took a beating. The tires were also worked, especially on the shoulders of the fronts. It could be that B6s have larger brakes than B5s, but it could also be that I don't have that much track experience and so don't push it as hard as you do. I'm thinking pads, brake lines, and fluid, but we'll see.

but I would recommend putting in Motul 600 fluid and getting track specific pads, at least for the fronts.

and reading up on the forums, I'm not sure stainless lines help much on stock brakes. The main purpose is to remove a source of flexing, but on the B5S4 with HP2 brakes, the calipers are the major source of flexing, not the lines. I do think they help out quite a bit in resisting fluid boiling, but not in reduce flex by a measurable amount.

Now, I don't know what type of brakes the B6S4 uses, and it may be helped by stainless lines more than the B5S4. Aftermarket BBK are generally helped by the stainless lines.
