Had a traffic court arraignment this morning for my "too fast for conditions" ticket back in March. You either plea guilty or no contest, and get your sentancing. Or you plea not guilty and get, wait for it, ANOTHER court date. The officer doesn't even have to be there today. So now I get to come back on August 3rd, to speak with the prosecutor, and possibly see the highway patroller who issued me the citation.
Compared to MD, VA and NY, where the officer has to be there on the first court date, otherwise the charges are dismissed, this is absolutely rigged to make it more likely to get guilty pleas.
Oh well, guess I get to go have fun again.
