What's up everyone! I just bought an audi and love it. I have owned one before that was all stock but it got wrecked 3 months after I bought it. This one is going to get a lot of mods done hopefully. I was in the Honda scene before until I discovered the joy of Audis. Just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone had pics of their Audi so I can see the potential of mine.

2000 A4 1.8T. I found this forum luckily by reading through the b5 forum and seeing someone post about wanting to buy a B5 in SLC and it had a link to here. I just bought some Intrax springs. I got the rears done (piece of cake) but i haven't had time to do the fronts yet. I've peeked at it and it doesn't look too bad. If it is as easy as the rears, then I will be a happy man. Anyone know how loong it shuold take or how hard it is?

Don't mind the Goodyear sign on the shop, he is big on Audi's and VW's (has a ton of older ones hes done conversions on).

One important thing to remember -- when I used the write-up in the tech section, it states that you need to remove the pinch bolt. This is not accurate. That bolt can stay in (and, if your's is as corroded as mine, it will refuse to come out anyway).

Other than that, the write-up is clear and easy to follow.

2 hours then gave up. But I still got the whole assembly out just fine.

This is Adam BTW. Didn't know if you knew my SN.

otherwise, if it is stuck and it can stay stuck, I leave it in until it has to come out for upper control arms. I have had to drill out my share and if both upper control arms are being replaced, heat gets it unstuck.
