Greetings all, I am set to be out at MMP twice this summer (from Colorado). I would like to bring my wife and 6 year old boy along. That being said, I am not sure that they will want to stay at the Best Western in Tooele (I am assuming, perhaps incorrectly, there isn't much to do there if you aren't at MMP?). So, can anyone recommend some nice places to stay that will still put me in decent proximity to the track? I am assuming this will mean Salt Lake City proper?

Would be about a 30 mile drive, roughly 45 minutes. Large surface streets and interstates, not sure quite how the road is out at MMP.

And there are some things to do in downtown SLC.

*SLC Marriott City Center is a good central location. Nice, new hotel.
*SLC downtown Marriott is closer to shopping.
*Hotel Monaco also right downtown. It's nice and you can get a goldfish for your room.

I'd avoid staying out west or further south. It's not that bad of a drive and I-80 West is easy to get to from downtown.
