I love The Bus, but I just can't have it any more. I spent a lot of time and energy on the thing. I bought it in '91 and drove it for years as my main vehicle in college.

It is a 1976 Kombi (Westfalia without a stove and sink). Sleeps four adults. Schoolbus Yellow. Custom oak veneer wood everywhere. Laminate wood flooring. Custom Stereo.

Full rebuilt engine in '95 that has 8K on it. It is a fuel-injected type 3 pancake.

My wife and I drove across the country in it in '93 and put around 15K miles on it in a summer (Grateful Dead Tour---paid for the entire trip selling veggie stir fry). We broke down on the Kansas/Colorado border and limped home with $250 more than when we started.

I had the engine rebuilt after the tour and I drove it locally to break in the engine and then have gone on two big trips to the Northwest. Just about 8K on it now.

It needs an alternator and I'm sure it needs a battery by now. Has new tires, but after sitting, they may need help. The sliding door roller needs to be repaired.

I was hit in the left-rear corner pannel before I bought it and there is cancer in a few places.

I'll never get even a fraction of what I have put in to it, so I won't sell it. I honestly want to give it to someone who wants it, or who can make good use of an engine in another project.

I don't have room for it at my house, so it has been parked for nearly two years at my mother's. I fired it up with a jump start a while ago and it chugged for a minute and then purred. It's pretty dirty right now, but has always cleaned up nicely.

Seriously if you want it, email me and it is yours.

Tyler
