MarkFank 12-06-2005, 08:01 PM Scott Free 12-07-2005, 07:30 AM 8Rings 12-07-2005, 08:46 AM It just gets stuck in flat parking lots a lot altavant 12-07-2005, 08:57 AM I was lucky enough to leave the office about noon...quattro-ed up LCC behind a Subie and 4wd pickup..we all had wheel spin in the same places..but my fresh ASX's dug in fine...trouble started in the parking lot with at least 12"(at that time)...a bit too much to plow for a lowered wagon..managed to park(ie high centered and stuck..know I will be digging later)...skied till close...absolutely dumping incredible pow skiing...went to the car at 4:30 to dig, knew the road was closed...I'd say 15" around the car...dug out around and underneath for a while and took shelter in GMD bar to wait for the opening of the road...6:30 the road opened after the control work and the clearing of the White Pine slide....but the parking lot was just too deep and dense..even full size tall pickups were having difficulty..most mid SUV's needed pulling or pushing...anything lower was f'd...after more digging and pushing we managed twenty feet of the fifty yards I needed to get to the plowed road...eventually the chained front end loader scraped a path down each row and I got pushed the last four feet of deep...finally a nice no slip drive down on snowpacked road...by-pass road steep section in first with zero brakes...too nervous too touch them...main road managed a brave 18-20 in second...a few brake taps but no sliding....Quattro rules on the snowpack, but if the snow hits the bumper I'm thinking UTA!
