View Full Version : Roll Call! Do you ski/board? Which resort do you have a pass to? What ability level? nord1899 11-21-2005, 07:33 AM Snowboarder here. Have a pass to The Canyons. Able to do pretty much any trail and a fair bit of off trail. SUBLIME 11-21-2005, 08:50 AM My wife and I usually ride on Sunday. Skied since I was three. Changed to the dark side in '87. neilm 11-21-2005, 11:21 AM I live 1 mile from the Canyons and that is where I have my pass. Advanced riding ability, but not expert in the crazy stuff. 8Rings 11-21-2005, 12:21 PM The snowboard is for soft days at the resorts. I have new skiis this year (Dynastar 4x4 185s)for those "firm" cruise days and I still have my 205 LaCroix softs with climbing bindings for those back country "must ski untracked" moods that still strike me. Been doing this since 1979 and still on the original knees :) altavant 11-21-2005, 12:27 PM

Alta....free heeler since '82...veteran expert.....can ski a few new school jibs(got tokeep it fresh with my kids) to anywhere else on the mountain.... Stardog 11-21-2005, 12:58 PM 10 day pass at Alta this year and 5 at Solitude. Ability is subjective, but I ski anything within resort bounds. Been skiing since 78. Jim II 11-21-2005, 08:28 PM Jim II 11-21-2005, 08:35 PM Been boarding when I've had the chance to go out. It's still a bit of a challenge, so I don't get bored when I have to bring "visitors" out. I still have a mono ski that I take out when I can't decide. I've always prefered Brighton and Alta. No passes yet. First season back since 97. And then do about an hour or 3 of work. Saturday and Sunday are wide open but I'm sure I'll go up at some point during the weekend. neilm 11-23-2005, 10:56 AM MarkFank 11-23-2005, 11:55 AM It'sw so nice outside right now I'm going biking! nord1899 11-23-2005, 12:01 PM A PERSISTENT UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE AREA OVER UTAH WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN THROUGH FRIDAY. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL ARRIVE ON SATURDAY AND SWEEP THROUGH THE ENTIRE REGION. THIS FRONT WILL BREAK THE INVERSION AND BRING MUCH COLDER AIR TO THE HIGHER TERRAIN. SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF UTAH WITH VALLEY SNOWFALL ALONG THE I-15 CORRIDOR INTO SOUTHWEST UTAH. A BRIEF BREAK IN THE WEATHER IS EXPECTED FOR SUNDAY INTO EARLY MONDAY...THEN A STRONG AND COLD PACIFIC SYSTEM WILL PLUNGE ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN LATER MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. THIS COULD BRING SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL TO MOST OF THE REGION. UNSETTLED AND COLD WEATHER COULD PERSIST THROUGH THE REST OF NEXT WEEK.

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/warnings.php?wfo=slc&zone=UTZ003&pil=SLCSPSSLC&pro ductType=SPECIAL%20WE neilm 11-23-2005, 03:30 PM MarkFank 11-25-2005, 07:40 AM silver go fast 11-26-2005, 06:58 AM

hans j 12-05-2005, 06:47 PM TisforTurbo 12-09-2005, 06:27 PM |
