While they are extremely short on snow there was decent coverage on the few runs they have open. It was good to get back on board and carve someturns. It is pretty hard packed, but I was surprised by the quality of the man made snow from the new snow making machines they got this year. We all need to do some snow dances, as it is going to take a number of big storms to get the whole mountain open. If anyone out there is available for week day riding, send me an email.

if I can swing it at work.

Damn Civ4 and "Feast of Crows" by George RR Martin keeping me up late at night. :)

As I have nothing else to do, I'll be making my way up to The Canyons that morning for at least a few hours. Figure I'll go practice my tricks on the rails/boxes they have setup.

Maybe they'll have Snow Dancer open by then which is at least a half decent blue. Koko/Painted Horse is just so bleh, especially with that long flat section.

They are loosing the base rapidly. Reported 19" on Saturday, 15" on Sunday and 13" today. It was still good riding today, but I was beginning to see stuff coming up through. Super nice blue bird day, but to hot to keep the snow. I should be around, give me a call.

http://thecanyons.com/otm/snowreport.aspx</a

"Many of guys I hit...do ski".......is like the ski/snowboard joke..."What did the snowboarder say to the skier? "sorry dude!"

late at night and thus I sleep in

also with the conditions the way they are, not exactly clamoring to get up there right now.
