I killed my battery as an after affect of attempting to install my bi-xenons. Anyways, after replacing the battery I get the pin code screen. I can't remember the code. I've contacted NAVparts, PM-em the guy 'Proxus' at audizine.com, navplus.us and emailed from his site. I also tried the number on the receipt but it's no longer in service.

I just got back from the dealer hoping they'd be able to look it up. Turns out the unit is from a european 'test vehicle'. I don't really care about that, but the only code they could find was for that vehicle, not mine of course. So after I waited the hour after safe mode, I tried the pin and it did not work.

So, I'm out $1500 unless someone has some suggestions on what I can do. I've heard I can send it to someone who can re-do the board or something, but that worries me some. Any suggestions?

...a lot of those units sold by the nav sellers have a liitle sticker with the code handwritten (which, of course, should be removed). Are you sure it is not still there or did you remove it?

There isn't any obvious sticker like that. Just the plug layout diagrams and serial, model number etc. It may have had the code at some point and I may have taken it off. I just don't remember what the hell I did with it.

Is my only recourse disassembling the unit and shipping the main board off to be hacked?
