View Full Version : iphone interface lapper 08-18-2008, 05:18 PM anyone know if this works? http://www.euro-audi-parts.com/Eurobitsiphone.html Imola Ghost 08-18-2008, 06:02 PM It doesn't seem like its fully functional now but it did say they were working on the ipod controls but you'd need MMI on your car though. AudiA4B6US 08-19-2008, 05:36 AM All it does is charge your 1st gen iPhone (iPhone 3G doesn't fit) and make the phone use the external GSM antenna. Functionality is limited to whatever you can get now using the OEM Bluetooth (in fact even with the cradle the iPhone still connects via Bluetooth to the phone interface). No iPod control whatsoever, not even audio. The text is very misleading on the capabilities of this "interface". MikeSS 08-19-2008, 10:01 AM lapper 08-19-2008, 12:32 PM I am looking to get to swap out the 6CD changer and go for the iPod, are there any problems with this? I like the fact that it charges my phone and also I won't have car charger cables hanging out of my power sockets. If you can't control the iPod with this, can it still be hooked up to the iPod audio and then work in that way? Kwatro 08-27-2008, 09:08 AM The mic and speaker work fine, but I notice that I don't see any of my favorites as dialing options using MFSW. I only see the four AT&T numbers that were probably on the SIM. Kwatro 08-27-2008, 11:48 AM Kwatro 09-01-2008, 05:40 PM Currently no way to tell the iPhone what can and can not be synced via BT. This might be a BT Profile change that needs to take place. More info about iPhone BT posted below. Typically the system in the car may have some settings for this or could require a software update to work better with iPhone. As far as if and when will there be a fix no one can tell. But I do encourage you all to post feedback to the link below the BT information link.

Submit feeback

RAD2 09-06-2008, 04:57 AM Just place it in the cradle and the press on top of the locking piece of the cradle timanderson 09-12-2008, 04:36 PM Can you tell me how you managed to get your contacts imported - I cannot access the phonebook at all. Thanks RAD2 09-15-2008, 06:17 AM that memory is set to all (SIM & Phonebook) at the telephone set up (bluetooth). With that I got the phonebook transfering all the time. timanderson 09-15-2008, 07:33 AM Yup, got that. Could it be that transfer stopped after a phone OS update? timanderson 09-16-2008, 01:52 PM Check my software version - 210. That the same as you? RAD2 09-16-2008, 07:15 PM is that the latest version?, I just got apple email today about the latest I-Phone software upgrade. timanderson 09-17-2008, 12:48 AM Sorry - was talking about software in car. Had no luck with iPhone software versions 2.02 and 2.1 (latest) RAD2 09-17-2008, 02:40 AM I have not upgraded to latest timanderson 09-17-2008, 01:15 PM Thanks, will see if I can get an update for the car Kwatro 09-23-2008, 03:08 AM Kwatro 09-23-2008, 03:10 AM Although I'd appreciate it if more users would submit feedback to Apple on the lack of Bluetooth flexibility. Link is below.

http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html</a

RAD2 10-02-2008, 04:30 AM If that is the case go to telephone then set up, then look for memory set up, I think the default is SIM, when I got the Q7 I changed to both (SIM + Phonebook). Kwatro 10-07-2008, 12:37 AM I've got an iphone and there are no BT settings available...yet RAD2 10-17-2008, 03:21 AM Kwatro 10-28-2008, 07:50 PM |
