Picked up my car this weekend with Bluetooth option. Unfortunately it seems like my Cingular RAZR phone is not compatible, as it was the first version they came out with 2 years ago. Has anyone been able to upgrade their phone software to make it compatible? Also, there is a crackling noise over the speakers when the Bluetooth is in use. Any thoughts on if this is phone related or car related?

Time to spring for a new phone...you might also have an older non-64KB SIM card.
Yes, I initiated the process for the phone to find the car's signal and it cannot find the signal. Is something else I should try? The crackling came from using my wife's Verizon RAZR. I will check to see if I have the latest SIM card...

You need 41.C3R minimum.
The VZW phone doesn't use SIM cards, so that's not the issue. I would check with another BT phone and also make sure she's got the minimum software as well which is 01.0F.02.
The SIM Card should say what size it is on it.
Btw, here's the official BT Audi supported list: <a href="http://www.audiusa.com/bluetooth"><b>click me</b></a>

Since you have other handsets that work OK, I think it's your handset HW.
Try placing the handset right on top of the module.
My module is in the back of my allroad, and if I toss the phone into the back seat, my craacking disappears!
Thanks for your advice. Any idea where the BT module is located on the 2007 A4? I will try moving the phone around in the car as well. I also discovered that lowering the volume on the phone itself makes a difference. Unfortunately I dont think my early version of the Cingular RAZR will pair up and Cingular says they can't upgrade the firmware...I may have to get a new phone-
