I have upgraded my 01 ar with a "G" series BT module and a Sym II, etc, thanks to nsxjr and ted's info. I used the OEM phone DB25 connector in back and made an adapter to the BT connector. Functions fine.

I have a short BT range issue. SQ both ways gets iffy if the phone is in my driver's door pocket. If I take the phone and toss it in the back seat, or even if I hold it in my right hand and place my hand on the back of the pass seat, SQ on both ends gets noticeably better.

Do I need a new antenna? Or should I relocate the whole BT module up front?

My handset is a Blackberry 7135e (VZW). Other than not loading the phonebook into the Audi, the handset works fine with BT on this car and on a Parrot-equipped car.

Try these:

1) 000-098-692 (male/male neutral fakra/smb cable - 300mm I think)
2) 000-098-652 (female/female neutral fakra/smb cable - 1M in length)

This is probably $20 in parts from the audi dealer etc.

The combination of these two cables will get you a male-to-female cable that is probably 4ft in length.

Special thanks to Lee Hicks (NSXjr) for deciphering all these part# from the ETKA.

Keep me posted. :)
