I've been playing with the bluetooth kit that is included as part of the tech package of my 06 2.0T (no Bose/Nav). I could easily get it to pair with my phone (Samsung SGH-A900 "Blade" for Sprint) and the car downloaded the contacts. I was even able to succesfully place and receive calls while driving. So everything is great right? Well... no.

I'm driving along and at apparently random intervals, the radio will mute and "CALL" will flash on the instrument display while I hear ringing over the speakers... just like if someone was calling me. There is no name or number displayed in association with this "CALL". I then hit the left thumb wheel button to receive the call... the display then changes to a steady "CALL", but the stereo then sounds another ring... this time as if I had just placed a call and was waiting for the other person to pick up! I then hold down the left thumb wheel button for a couple of seconds, which eventually ends the call. The stereo then resumes playing music for a few seconds before the whole thing repeats all over again!

I really love the handsfree functionality, but this random and repeated interruption when driving is so distracting that I've had to turn off the Bluetooth fuctions of my phone. Can someone help?

OEM RNS-E. I had to turn mine off as well, which, after spending $700 plus on the kit, and then another $300 plus on my own VAG-COM, is a little, well, unsettling (like to use another word). And I've got no help yet. HELP ME TOO!!!

There is no menu item in the phone that specifically lists a version number. I closest I can get is a listing under the "Version" menu item that lists "S:ES.A900 ZA06"

I think the Samsung A900 might also be sold in Europe as a GSM phone, and I'm worried that the YL10 firmware mentioned on the navplus site pertains to that phone, rather than the CDMA Sprint version I have.

FWIW, I also noticed that the phone says that the Audi BT is listed as supporting "HSP/FTP" profile, rather than HTP.

I do hope someone can help me sort this stuff out. I guess the "FINAL SOLUTION" would be to simply switch carriers and/or buy a new phone that is specifically known to work with the Audi BT module in my car. Grr....
