Installed a bluetooth module in a b7 s4 with multifunction steering wheel, and factory rns-e. I have installed the bluetooth with navparts harness...it does work but the steering wheel controls will not work and I cannot access the module for telephone. Is there anyone that can help me out???
coding for cluster is: 23261 (channel 62 is:23)
radio coding is: 301611, and steering wheel electronic coding is: 2141.

It has to be coded properly as well. Can you see the BT interface from the RNS-E?

Is your phone seeing the interface or is the RNS-E controlling the phone?

The MFSW talks via CAN to the BT interface. I fthe interface is not coded right you won't get any response by pressing the buttons on the wheel.

What VAG-COM version/cable are you using? Did you connet the k-wire coming from the BT interface?

I have hooked up the wires to the k-line as well as high/low can. It works b/c the bluetooth module connects to the rns-e unit. Shows the dial to make call, and can make a call. I am not sure why I can't access the bluetooth module....

They updated the firmware in 510 and before that it was hard to get to the phone interface. With 512.4 it should be possible if the k-wire is not overloaded with devices. if you still can't connect (let it try a couple of times), disconnect the RNS-E to reduce the load on the k-wire.
