I just bought an RSN-E for my B7 A4... I also bought the Dietz 1417 thinking I wanted the ME3, but I decided against it. Do I need the dietz to hardwire my ipod and possibly in the futre XM? or Can i just get a Dension Icelink for the IPOD and be done with it?

ipod and XM connect completely separate from the 1417 device.

..and rnse. I do many of these for folks...so it is all plug/play.
