Having seen the Porsche RS Spyder lead the way on the opening day of ALMS testing at Sebring, it was Audi who hit the front on Tuesday as the new R10 model set the quickest time of the time at the hands of Rinaldo Capello.
Capello set a time of 1min 48.816secs during the second of three sessions during the day as the new diesel-powered prototype machine continued with its maiden test on American soil ahead of a race debut in the Sebring 12 Hours in March.
Lucas Luhr set the pace in the opening session of the day in the Penske Porsche, his time of 1min 49.477secs good enough to be second fastest overall while the third quickest time went to the #9 Lola EX257-AER of Highcroft Racing - veteran Andy Wallace setting a time of 1min 49.547secs in the third and final session of the day in the car he raced at Sebring at Petit Le Mans last season with the Dyson Racing squad.
