Looking for a good low-light performer to add to a likely 50mm/1.4 AF-S purchase on the D40.

I find that even 'fast' lenses aren't fast enough for much of what I do in low light, unless I up the ISO or use a flash.

I work w/a photog as a 2nd shooter...and she shoots Nikon. Its the first lens I always reach for. :)
super sharp and great colors.
if i shot nikon personally, it'd be a must have.
