View Full Version : Is there a good SMALL bag for an XSi, a 70-200mm f/4L + kit lens + 50mm? DRoOpY 06-24-2008, 05:23 PM DB/S4 06-24-2008, 05:59 PM The thing has a weird interior, to the point of unusable. It's supposed to protect your camera, but I feel like I'd have to protect my camera from the interior of the bag itself! (I asked them to throw it in for free with my camera, hence why I have it and kept it.) looey 06-24-2008, 06:01 PM two more lenses in. What is your definition of 'small'? I have a small Tamrac bag that I can squeeze a 30d+50mm+17-85mm into, but just barely. RKA 06-24-2008, 06:11 PM Decide on the style that works for you, and consider getting something with enough room for an external flash in addition to what you mentioned. The backpack or shoulder bag are particularly well suited for the lenses you want to carry (esp if you want to fit the XSi with the 70-200 attached). Lowepro and Tamrac usually have some good stuff. The site below will give you a good feel for how the equipment fits in various bags. Any rebel series camera will be equivalent in size to your XSi when looking at their site.

http://www.cambags.com/</a

DRoOpY 06-24-2008, 06:44 PM DRoOpY 06-24-2008, 06:46 PM Good advice on the flash and thanks for the site pakman0209 06-24-2008, 09:03 PM not sure how much you want to spend, but I was looking for a bag recently for carrying around the same amount of stuff and I liked the Canon 200EG backpack. Cheap, sturdy, enough space for the gear and you can throw you laptop in there...its $35 at amazon last time i checked Anyone have an opinion on that bag? The Velocity 8 can be configured to have the camera with long lens down the middle, and then room for 1-2 more lenses and a flash on the left and right. A kit lens and a 50mm would definitely fit down one side, and the flash down the other. Dubs 06-26-2008, 09:16 AM You can even fit a 430ex if you do it right If you want pics let me know. The camera nad the 50? Dubs 06-26-2008, 06:35 PM Before i threw the flash in i had the 50 in the other pit with the flap folded down and the camera laying in lens down. solid. DRoOpY 06-26-2008, 07:03 PM *waits patiently for the 430ex II TristanP 06-27-2008, 08:09 AM LI-S4 06-28-2008, 09:04 AM I modified the side mounting straps to accept the Think Tank accessories since all my other stuff is TT. The 75AW swallows the D2x or D300 with grip with the 70-200 mounted, with the tripod foot on, and some room to spare in the bottom of the bag, and on one side I put a TT lens changer 25 to carry one mid-size lens, and the Lightening Fast on the other side with SB-800, batteries and Better Beamer. The TopLoader has a few pockets so it can hold a bunch stuff. 2.7Twin 06-29-2008, 10:27 AM |
