Any recommendations? Got a wedding shoot coming up early next month and pondering in my head of whether I should use some off-camera lighting with two Speedlites to be specific. So the stands can be light yet sturdy, and at the same time, something that doesn't break the bank.

Thanks

they are thin, fairly light and sturdy enough for the Speedlights.

I think they are about $20 each

What kind of tripod are you looking for?

Can't seem to find somebody in Toronto, maybe I should try and get these from B&H, wonder how much I'll get hosed on shipping, duty, taxes, etc.

if so .. chk out Ed Pingol (http://edpingol.blogspot.com/) and his use of 2 speedlites on a single monopod (with a bracket for 2 flashes), an assistant following him around, and pocket wizards.

love his stuff.

not super sturdy for heavy stuff, but speedlights will work beautifully. The best thing about them is that they fold very compact and are light.

when i got em, "flat flash bracket" pulled up a bajillion auctions. now i don't know where they went. anyway...keep an eye out for them for the next few months. unfortunately, i don't have them with me at the moment - they're back in my apartment in Nola (I'm in CA until August). if you still can't find anything, i'll send you one when i get back to school.
