Since this is teh bird forum I thought I'd share the most amazing sight that I just witnessed. 10 Golden Eagles have been and are circling over our neighborhood riding the thermals. 10. Did I say 10? I mean 10. Huge wingspans. Feathers large enough that you could make out individuals on the trailing edges of their wings with the naked eye from 200ft. I'd have grabbed the cam but 200mm would be pointless. You'd think it was just dirt on the sensor.

feasting on a carcass a couple hundred feet up the hill - wolves = more rare than eagles up there.

moose, mtn lion, rattlesnakes all within a few hundred yards of our subdivision depending on the season. Just never seen that many flying together.
