ie, you shoot a wedding... what do you use to let the client order prints, select images for their album/book, or even just preview their photos online?

I'm currently using a bastardized comingling of Gallery2 and ZenCart, but it's far from perfect.

My lab, of course, offers a service... but it lacks any meaningful integration to my website, which I won't accept.

in this day and age, I'm happy to get the job taking the photos, and letting the people take the CD to wherever they want to make prints. I'm not in it full time, and I don't have the time to organize prints most often..

yeah, I'm sure I should charge for prints, but I'm not looking to make it my life's work just yet.

Once i get more of a portfolio, that may change.

I do throw previews on my own site for the clients though.

But in this day and age, I think you close out some percentage of your prospects by not including a DVD with images.

You could work it into a tiered package model, where once you've hit Tier X, you get a DVD and an album (list fee for pages beyond the allowance).

I don't think we live in the world we used to, and just saying "no" when people request something could be a little short-sighted. Try to find a way to structure the fees so you still make your money up front, not off the back end.

That said, a smugmug pro account is the one I've read of most often. Not sure I've seen a good comparative analysis of the different services available.

We don't have a big country club wedding scene here.
