and a little self portrait action ontop of a parking lot without a tripod in tampa during the NCAA tournament trip.. at about midnight

i'm printing these on 4x6's (along with 2 other photos), so 6 total 4x6's, cutting them up into 2x2 pieces, and gluing them onto 6 2x2 wooden blocks, to make sort of a stackable picture puzzle type deal... 6 sides of each block so you can put together 6 photos. one of the gifts of the gfs bday.

a tripod, or a remote, so i stuck my wallet under the lens to sit it up right and forward while on the ledge of the concrete parking garage thats how i took all my shots that night), prefocused on my cell phone (which is where i'm standing now in the pic), then set a timer with the popup flash i believe, and a few second exposure, that way to capture me initially without too much excessive blur. Then ran over to where the cellphone was and took position. came out half way decent.
afterwards i look up and realize there was a security camera pointed right where i was standing... lol they musta been like wtf is he doing since i took about 3 shots like that

i'd also say that the macro shot (the water drops) need a touch more highlight and overall fill. They're just getting lost a bit with all the heavy darkness around it.

it looked kinda cool at first, so i got a little carried away.

on the macro shot, how would you suggest lighting it? I only had one 430ex off camera flash and was just playing around for a little bit after i got the roses
