Gonna try and make a collage of photos every 10 minutes... started 6 minutes ago. Clear sky here in Toronto which is great, last time, it was cloudy.)

Could be good, could be a disaster. Having a tough time with precision focusing right now.

f/8, 2", iso 400, 20D w/ 70-300 @ 300, 10:24 PM. RAW conversion using Daylight WB. Cropped to about 50%. Damn that cold sucks. This is the time I wished I had even a beginner's telescope and equatorial mount.

My first time ever shooting anything in the sky..

Nikon D70
300mm Sigma 2.8

For some reason, the D70 didn't record all the exif.. it shows this was f/16 with no shutter speed, but I was using around 1/250-1/320 ISO200
<img src="http://aycu06.webshots.com/image/45205/2005343888330290890_rs.jpg">

This shows F/32, i don't remember stopping that far down, but maybe it was one shot? max I remember going was f/22. Anyhow no other info on this one =\
<img src="http://aycu17.webshots.com/image/43976/2005311463928486932_rs.jpg">

The actual totality sucked in terms of my photos.
1) I was ontop of horse barn hill if anyone is familiar with uconn. It was below freezing and I was standing there for about 1.5 hours.
2)Tripod I had was not sturdy enough for the wind there
3)my 30D (with which I have my remote) only had my 70-200, and i could not figure out for the life of me how to set the D70 to timed release in the dark, so anything under 1/4" just sucked and was blurry.

I guess I'll have to try again in three years =\

Anyhow, as this was my first attempt ever at photography in the sky, C&amp;C would be awesome!

but I thought I'd post my effort. The thin layer of clouds gave me a real hard time. There was enough mist in the air to really scatter the light. And I probably over exposed a bunch as there are even a few faint stars in the back ground.

Done.... not sure what was worse, putting the images together or taking a picture every five minutes last night for a few hours freezing my fingers off....
