i get the concept, but because it's a silouhette it would have been a lot more effective if it was just his lips kissing the belly. well, and clone out that house on the left.

Wife just walked past and said... too set up, his foot on sand and shadows spoit it. Her shadow freaky and his arms. No dont like it!

How about a closer crop with just lips kissing belly? Maybe even a bare belly?
Lips and no hands would be wierd or unnatural to me. I think this shot is staged nicely. Another shot highlighting the belly would be nice to add to the portfolio, but I wouldn't change how you did this one. I love the glow around the womam (and you still preserved some color in the sky and detail in the water!), but agree about a tighter crop. I'd actually crop this as a 1:1 ratio and just eliminate the extra sand at the bottom. The shadows are nice, but that's not really the focal point.

Because someone posted about pregnancy shoots...I have done a few of them, and had one yesterday. Went through a few more this morning...and will go trhrough the rest by Sunday evening...here is another from yesterday and I plan on sharing more...

what did you use for fill flash? her belly is a bit blue on my screen also.

580EX on camera 45 degree angle with built in difuser...that simple. I think 1 was shooting 1/250 @ f/11 ISO 100 IIRC. Not done with post processing so yes...the belly is a bit blue.
