Every one of the $1K+ L's I have were purchased used and within $200 of the price they were available new. They get snatched up too quickly when the prices fall lower than that. I'm not complaining...my lens "rental" fees are virtually nil as a result.

I've seen wider range in this particular glass here locally, to the lowest which was 50%.... user claims it was bought locally with bill and needed to get rid of it quickly and it was only three months old and like new!

Darn I missed that by a few minutes too....

.. you forgot to include shipping with that price though since its sold through adorama. thats another 20-30bux.

also theres a instant rebate on it which expires in a couple day
