Ive been really happy with this setup. Its all I work with at this point, I'll hopefully have a brand "X" 17" laptop soon.

Okay, most of the "work" is on a 24" Dell. From time to time the 20" iMac, but since I don't have pshop on it, I usually defer to the windows machine.

...my need for LCD's very low on the list...
...maybe when one of them blows out, like 10 years from now...lol
Im likely to run out of space on my desk before that though...

They have (had) a bunch of Dell and Sony 21" CRTs. When new, they're fine, but they've been going fuzzy and the contrast just dies, probably because they get used all the time (all 4+ years old). I don't kow how some of them deal with the horrible picture. I'm slowing getting them into LCDs (2 Dell 22" wides and 2 Dell 19s recently for under $1k). They're so much better for what they use them for. Plus, they'll save big on energy consumption and not have radiation streamed directly onto their retina 8 hours a day. Oh, and did I mention the desk space freed up?

Haven't regretted moving to the Eizo lcd though. Lcd displays were pretty crappy 2-3 years ago but now the good ones are really good.

Although...im sure now that i said that...by the time i wake up they'll both be dead.
I dont put them through terrible abuse i guess...although they sure have moved around a few times. lol
Im with dloftis...i still prefer the look of a nice CRT...but then again...if shooting film was still "practical" i wouldnt have switched to digital either...lol
in other words...since the price is now WAY down...i'll prolly look into freeing up some desk space soon...and put these guys in the attic, for when my cat knocks one of the new LIGHTER screens off my desk thinking the screen saver is a mouse...
