hot pixels, so the camera is off for service tomorrow evening. I'm hoping they replace the sensor instead of just mapping out the hot pixels.

I'm wondering if it's just one of the bugs that come with a new model of camera, as I ordered the D80 the day it was announced and got mine out of the first shipment into the US.

Long exposures will result in the same thing.

Very likely they won't replace your sensor, they'll just map it out. You won't really notice it.

of hot pixels! My original DigiReb eventually got around 10, but my 20D and 1DmkIIn have had zero! I wonder why...
