Hit/skip? I've been wanting one for a while and finally pulled the trigger today, it's the Rebel XT (DS126071). I considered the XTi but the only difference (according to the guy at the store) was the 10 megapixels and a slighly smaller body, didn't seem to be worth the extra $200. I picked this up for $699.

Thoughts?

If it's your first, it's a great entry-level DSLR with lots of support. Lets see some pics.

you also get more autofocus points and the sensor cleaning system.
the size of the bodies is the same.

Also, I've been meaning to email you, things have just been really busy for me at work. I plan on scheduling a day for us to do that work on the car sometime soon (if you're still up for it), I'll probably grab that lens from you then too.

I'll be on touch, and I'll see you at Treffen.

Can you bring that lens for me to check out? I dont have the $ right now to grab it from you but I'd like to take a look at it, if possible.

Thanks!

I figure $150 will take it. it only cost just over $220 new IIRC.

but it's a decently sharp lens for the money.
