the composition uses rhythm and repetition, with the slightly varied wooden posts and repeated boat bows. my eye moves easily through the picture... down the line of boats and posts, then the boats direct my eye to the houses across the water, then it goes to the horizon at the far left. colors are reduced to simply red and blue, assigned to the objects opposing each other. I would brighten up those blue boats though.
