you got to photograph kara monaco? mmmm...

i, personally, don't like the white background much. i prefer the black or gray that comes up when you view a picture full size. but that's just me.

need an assistant? LOL!

I went with the white for a fresh and clean design approach...the images do pop better on a gray or black...thanks for the feedback!

Great photos and a very nice and simple UI. I'm also not a fan of white backgrounds, I often find them too bright and distracting. Otherwise I like your site very much, good work!

Spent way too much time waiting and hitting the back button instead of moving on.

It was simple, yet the whole album cover type galleries was annoying since you had too many of them.

It might be to confusing to navigate because the prev and next are hidden until you roll over the image. Thanks for the feedback!

1. move your page titles and subtitles(home, sports, commercial>>blue sky)to top-left not top-right (think outline format).

2. put 'home' near that big blue B in the top left so people know that it does something.

3. move up your '2007 matt bowen' - my monitor is set at 1024x768, which is a pretty common setting, and i can only see the tops of the '2007'.

4. use matt@mattbowen.com; the whole [at] thing isn't nearly as contemporary as the rest of your site is.

5. lastly, i assume 99% of your visitors will know what you do and why they are looking at your website, but maybe you want to add some text to the tops of your pages (or at least your homepage) stating what you do/are ('Professional Photography For a Modern World' or some such marketing bs, or just a 1-3 item list of what professional services you provide - photography, consultation, etc...portrait and studio photography...etc

overall the site looks great, and very artistic, which i assume is what you were looking for. add a bit of usability and web standards (like location of navigation elements) and you're there.

p.s. - i manage B2C/B2B ebusiness sites for a living, so am far more interested in usability and function than overall form, which i'm sure is quite important in your field.

Other flash based sites its instant. It's not a bad site, just not my favorite format.
