Im thinking of starting my own startup business recording weddings. Weddings are almost always on the weekend which is great. I want to buy High Definition equipment to have a little edge on what current videographers usually have. What do you think about this camcorder? It records to the hard drive. Anybody have experience with HD Camcorders.

It uses a specific codec to compress the HD into a realistic file size. Its cool, but the technology is still a year or 2 away to be perfected. You cant go wrong with recording to tape, especially since you wont have to run to a computer to dump your footage when you run out of disc space, all you gotta do is swap a tape.

P.S. The canon HV-20 is aweeeesome if you are looking for lightweight. But with any of these smaller cameras, the audio is horrible, so you need a good mic set-up and the wedding goers might not look at you as all that professional when you bust out a handheld handicam.
