went to the auto show yesterday and took some pictures. i realized my 17-40 f4 was not as fast as i'd want. had the iso bumped up to 800 the entire time. could have gone to 1600, but i dont have noise reduction software and wanted them to come out as clean as possible.

i've never made a collage before, but this was my first attempt. thoughts?

i had two slightly different angles for this one and really preferred the look of the other, but the back wheel was in focus and not the front of the car, so i kept this one instead

a few months back i took a shot inside my car with a longer shutter. i wanted to try using my flash and retaking it. for whatever reason i could not get my tripod situated properly and it was too tall to use my diffuser, so i angled my flash a little bit and used a red flash gel and remote release. not exactly what i was hoping for, but it's different. next up a different focal length and a wireless remote

1/4 of a second for the bus pics.

i'd probably hit up the bean, art institute, sears tower, etc. i live 25 miles north so chad or some others might be able to give better advice. if you have free time while you're here, let me know. i might be able to head down there for a bit.

Because the snow seems too distracting to me when shown in color. I love the yellow though it really pops!that would be great to get on a nice clear day for the color.

i'll be heading out on march 8 for an interview in downers grove. I'll be between downers grove, chicago, and evanston for the weekend. where are you located?

you'll basically be right in the middle of me and the city. i live in libertyville

i'm south of waukegan and north chicago. on this map it'd probably be where 'michigan' is shown.
