View Full Version : NiMH batteries question. my camera uses 1.2V 1600mAh batteries, but can I use 2000mAh ones?

mAh is a measurement of capacity. The more the merrier.

So long as the voltage is correct, you could have a 5,000 mAh battery and it would work fine. Likewise, you could have a 500 mAh battery and not have an issue.

The only thing I can think of as being a problem is that the battery meter may not be accurate.... but then, they usually aren't to begin with.

I just got the charger and ten batteries from Battery Connection! I use them in my 580EX...WOW! These things recycle quicker and last longer than anything I have used!
