been thinking about buying one for probably a year or two now and just never got around to it. anyone here use them? how do you like it? was it worth it? which model did you get? what equipment are you using on it?

Thought for those "action shots" with the camera stuck on the car, I like to get a three suction cup mounts so the mount is rock solid.
With the stickpod and a heavy DSLR, any vibration from the car will be picked up by the DSLR.

chances are i'd be using my XT w/ battery grip and 17-40 for these shots so would you consider that 'heavy'?

Kurt Jones has some awesome stuff, he has some other stuff on his website with that setup with the three mounts.
For example, in mine in the above, I used the 20D without the grip and the 17-40L. At times I needed to add an extension tube to get the right stuff captured by the camera and the longer the thing, the worse it gets.

http://www.kurtjones.com/carmount-test.html</a

how much are the mounts that he uses? look pretty crazy. i liked the $129 pricepoint of the sticky pod seeing as i dont plan on using it all that often.
i guess now i'm just debating if i should get the 3 suction cup version or the 4?

Not cheap for sure, hence I won't ever see myself getting this unless I knwo I'm going to make use of it and some money on the side.
