A photographer over an AZ is doing a series on allys in his city and I loved the texture of his images. So I decided that I would take a few shots of textured stuff and here is what I got so far.

Think less frontlit, more sidelit.

Also, for the brick wall, sidelight from about 10:30 or 2:30 would 3-D-ize the mortar more.

and the performance is pretty good. I definitely messed with these pictures in Aperture though. I bumped up the sharpness but not too much.

I would still prefer the Sigma 150 macro due to the increased working distance.
