Also a question. My Dad has some old canon equip with the non EF style lenses. Is there an adapter i can get to use those lenses with the new bodies?

also, I think it's designed for supertele lenses. Other adapters are not very good.

What lenses does your father have? Is it really worth the trouble?

Even with the adaptor, you'll be limited to stop down metering - meaning you'll have to focus manually with open aperture, then stop down the aperture, and only then meter and take a picture.

If the photography you plan to do will be fairly static, then this may work for you. Otherwise you'll be better off selling those and getting EF lenses instead. Unless of course you want to use old film camera and get a decent film scanner.
