my Sigma 18-50 is almost the equivalent focal length compared to the L on a f/f like the 5D and it's a killer lens for my needs.

And, yes I want the 24-70, but I don't want it $1100 worth ;)

Step it up and it's remarkable. He was upset about it but what could he do? I compared my 200mm at f/2.8 but told him it's really not a fair comparison because it's a prime. There are pros and cons to owning a zoom or prime...I prefer to hike it to get the shot I need ;-)

He was refering to the Canon 24-70L USM lens.

Still too lazy to put it up for sale...so it's been sitting here on a shelf wrapped in plastic...just waiting for you to say "yes please!".

24mm isn't wide enough for me unless it's on a full frame camera and a 5D isn't in the cards.

what I need. Although I would have liked some DoF on the wide end. Oh well, then again I only paid $420 for it new.

Edited to add that I didn't know that Canon had a 5D model as well.
