Did you have to do much processing on them?

some of them are processed, but mostly because there were poor shooting conditions or I screwed up (ie, shooting in bad light, heavy shadows). The sunset ones, dock and stairs were only processed for exposure. The sandwich shop, colored doors and aqua wall had some mild saturation increases- less than +10 saturation in PS's raw mode or +1/+2 digital velvia. The scooters and tower had more intense work done since the lighting was bad.

Overall I'm happy with the lens. It flares much more easily than the 18-55 kit lens, which is frustrating. The Rebel XT also has an odd tendency to slightly overexpose auto shots when using the 18-50. The exposure can easily be dialed down in raw mode, but it is odd behavior. I switched from center-weighted metering to full frame metering which helped the problem.

One of these days I'll do a side-by side comparison of the kit lens and the sigma. I'm interested to see if there is a yellow tint issue like so many people say.

or a filter? The Sigma comes with a hood right? Anyhow great shots!

I've had a UV filter on the camera since the first day I started shooting with it. I suppose that could be causing the flaring- I'll have to try it without the filter.

It comes with a lens hood, but it has a pretty frustrating design. It is only secure on the lens in one direction, and the lens cap is inaccessible while the hood is on.

it's a little softer than I'd like, I suspect there's some very slight motion blur but it should still be good up until 8x10"<ul><li><a href="http://CoachZed.smugmug.com/photos/51170940-O.jpg">full res, right click save as</a></li></ul>
