I think it would be pretty sweet if I could shoot some floral pics against a controlled background with controlled lighting. I'd like to get this sort of result.

5 gallon paint can liners upside down, PVC frame with cloth/nylon, foamcore like in your link. Bascially anything that will diffuse the light, allow multiple shooting angles, and not catch on fire will do the trick. A Google search will most likely turn up lots of info. Here's a couple I've run across that may help:

I have a pvc pipe frame about 3'x3'x2' made from some sprinkler pipe and joints. They i draped an old white bedsheet over it. Using some clamp on lights from home depot with flourescent bulbs.
I originally used a white posterboard background and that worked well. I've since gone to a color background.
The pvc was cheap, the bulbs were the expensive part, roughly $3ea. I have 4 lights setup, and they just clamp to the pvc.
