Not much to say yet, it works fine with my old sigma lenses. Now I need to find a place to upload the better pics to.

Sad that its sunday and already getting dark & cold... I'd go out and shoot some frames. Guess I'll have to wait till this coming weekend.

needs more DOF I know...

I've had a minolta for 9 years now I think. I got my 7000i when I was 16 and working part time in a camera shop. Before the 7000i I had a minolta point and shoot. My previous digi cam which I still have is a Olympus D-490 zoom, which is too basic for me and too slow. Even my 7000i does 3fps and its from what 1990 or so?

totally understand your situation with already owning lenses in a system, etc.

That being said, Nikon and Canon have so much more experience and technology in digi cams, it's hard to go another direction, IMHO.

I'm sure it's a nice camera and I am glad you are enjoying it.

Cheers.

that was 3008x2000 "fine" resolution.

The camera did slow down after maybe 20 or so frames, the average was still ~2.3 fps. That might be due to the buffer being maxxed out. For my use I think that is plenty fast for plenty long. That vs the Nikon D50's 2.5 sustained, really how often am I going to realize the difference between 2.3 and 2.5 for 15 secconds.

I have NEVER used a roll of film in 15 secconds, ever. I am willing to bet that if I dont catch whatever I'm snapping frames of in 15 secconds or 30 something frames, I should probably be using a video camera.

so it came to $704 iirc.

I have a $50 rebate to send in... so $650 when all is said and done in 6-8wks.

Well, it depends on what yuou are shooting. Not very often, for sure, but it would happen to me with that camera all the time.

Honest answer.
