I'm trying to get around the "vanishing lines" perspective that happens when shooting up at tall buildings. I played around with photoshop's transform: perspective and skew but I can't fully fix the problem. I also don't really like how what I did makes the building look shorter. Here's the original and what I got from playing with it. Any suggestions?

It's a fact of optics. And if you over-correct it, it will often look wrong as well. Keep in mind, that even your eye will see converging lines as you look up a tall building, since it's further away at the top. Some perspective is needed, and a totally squared-off fix will look too fat at the top.

That may help some.

you should pick up a Swing and Shift lens.
Otherwise, known as a Tilt/Shift lens.

To truely nail it, a field camera (4x5) is best.

Canon makes 3 TSE lenses for thier 35mm cameras.
