I've been trying to buy a couple of <a href="http://www.tescomobile.com/sim_only.aspx">prepaid SIMs</a> before my upcoming London trip. First Tesco won't ship them outside the UK, so I arrange to have them shipped to my company's warehouse in London where they can be forwarded to me. With that resolved, Tesco now tells me that a) I can't buy airtime cards online (so the SIMs would be useless until I get to a physical store anyway) and b) they won't take my US credit card regardless!


Can I talk someone into buying a couple of those SIMs and a couple of 10GBP refill cards and shipping them to me? I can PayPal or whatever to get you the money, and you can ship to a London address so you don't have to hassle w/customs, etc.

I'd be very grateful for any help!

almost any phone shop will carry prepaid (pay as you go) cards, I think the airport has got a shop too.iirc, instant activation. moreover, you can top them up at virtually every convenience store/phone shop, any amount.

if you are not specifically looking for "tesco"'s card, there are lots more options to choose from.

if you really need the cards badly, send me a mail. but I'm telling you first that it is SUPeR easy to get a phone card here.

friends have told me that there is one in gatwick, I have not seen it for myself yet. whatever it is, gdluck.

Got the SIMs sent to our London office, then FedEx'd to me. Had to spend some time on the phone with the credit card company, but all good now.
