I've the bt prep with phone plate under armrest and I'm going to buy a phone (a nokia 6300) and the Audi cradle for it.
My question is, since I'm going to let the phone always docked in the cradle, will it shut down and stop chargin when the car is powered off? in short does it work as a mobile phone ,fixed type, once docked?

I have the same specification car and the same phone. As yet I have been unable to source a cradle for the 6300 phone. Since you are leaving it docked you won't have an use for most of the features on the 6300 anyway so why not get a phone for which Audi do have a dock or even an old faithful basic 6310i ?

, and audi here has the 6300 adapter, but before buying both I'd like to know if it shut the phone down when the ignition is switched off.
this question should apply to all mobile phone with adapter, not nokia specific.
any idea?

while upping the above question, I would also ask,
does your phone pair automatically with the car if you shut down the BT (phone side) and restart it while the car is on?
