Hello Everyone. Picked up my 3.6 Premium on Wednesday. Finally had a long driving trip this prior weekend and also got a chance to read manual thru. I love how the car drives (similar or the same as X5 I had 6 to 3 years ago) and much better than my prior Lexus GX470 (just read about Q7 stuck in sand and now afraid of what I am going to do in winter with my 20" tires - no issues with Lexus).
But have something that I miss from Lexus - perfect and easy to use Navigation.
It is so much difficult in Q7. Don't get me wrong - I am a computer programmer and have good computer skills, but you cannot compare touch screen with this joystick in Q7. When you need to enter address in Lexus, you get a keyboard on the screen and you just touch letter you need (one action). In Q7 you need to rotate then press and it is so easy to rotate to much and miss the letter and need to rotate back. So, you spend more time on doing something that should be done easy.
But let's talk about issue I need your help with.
How do you save the coordinates/destination of place you are currently located? Read thru the manual, thougt that I found how to do it, but it doesn't save. In Lexus you just press "save as marked point" and you are done. In Q7 I went to submenu on the right of the map (with coordinates), press the joystick, got "store as destination", created new entry in book. Then tried to load it and found no entries.
Help!
Also, anyone found that radio is not as strong as it should be? I have a station that I like to listen, but in Q7 it has to much noise.

This is what I did


I went to submenu on the right of the map (with coordinates), pressed the joystick, pressed on "store to directory", created new entry in directory. Then went to MEMORY, Load from directory and loaded it from there whenever I needed that particular place as a destination.
