...so how can I sit in my driveway, dial in my address, and store the location/address? "Store in Directory" (pg. 130 in MMI manual) doesn't seem designed to do this.
2) In trying to solve the problem above, I used "Enter Nav Start Location" (pg. 142 in MMI manual)to enter a location near my house. But, this didn't help, and I can't see how to delete the start location that I entered.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Q7. On another car I have you can at least enter your GPS coordinates for home or other location that is not mapped, but I do not see this as an option on the Audi. The only thing I could do is list the cross road nearby as my home address.

the Q7 navigator. The distinction is *destination* vs. *location*. Any destination that you can enter can of course be stored in the directory. But if you want to save the car's *location* as a destination for future use (in my case my home is the location I want to save), then with the Audi nav system you're out of luck.
