Hello Everyone,
Today I am taking delivery of 3.6 Premium with
20". Still not sure if I made a right choice selecting these wheels. Is anyone think he made a mistake for getting them?

I got the 21" Wheels on my S-Line and I really like them. I thikn the 20" Wheels look great as well.

I tend hate big spongy tires tho as I can feel the sidewalls flex and collapse under heaving turning.

So I would say no I think you will enjoy them. Especially if you Q7 will never see nothing other than pavement. I always find it funny when see those trucks with the big load mudders that probably have never even seen pavement.

probably be very happy with the 20's. They make the Q's handling a little more sporting. The only downfall I anticipate is the higher cost of replacing 20's when the time comes.

I've got the 20" on mine (just took delivery earlier in the week)... so far so good. I'm not planning on any off road driving (shame on me), but for the handling and sporty fun as well as winter driving in the NE, should be good.

enjoy!

I got the 18" standard tires on the car and it drives fine. The 20" tires look much better because they fill the wheel space but with the $1600 I saved up front and the savings on replacement tires I probably will not suffer too much.

Does the car handle better off expressways with the 20" tires? My driving impression of the Q7 is that it drives great on the highway but is somewhat clumsy on local roads (except it has a great turning radius for such a large vehicle).

The reason I asked is that I was afraid that ride on 20" tires could be too hard/harsh especially because I live in NYC. Also, I am not
sure how this 20" even with all-season tires will
handle in a snow that we sometimes get in NYC.
I appreciate everyone response - you made my day a little easy.

Be weary in snow. They're terrible. Very similar to summer tires in the snow.

8 on 18"
16 on 19"
53 on 20"
15 on 21"
5 on 22"
83 didnt give info, so overall 20" looks like the most popular size. You are not alone!!

H speed rated, and the softer rubber contributes to a good ride. Just had them rotated at 12,000 miles, and there is a lot of tread left. Can't speak to the performance 20's - I believe they're Z speed rated, and the harder rubber may not ride as smooth.

However being that I am from Chicago, and now what cold weather is like I would be honest with ya and say is just buy yourself some 18" Snow Tires for the winter. Luke @ Tirerack will give you a good option. And switch them out durring the winter seasons. I did that all the time. A Summer tire is just that a summer tire, even and all season tire will only do well in the winter.

I think that once you put a proper winter tire on your Q7 you will be stumped as to why you didn't do it earlier.
