Our Q7 that we bought from The Collection in Miami, with 2k miles has the Airbag light on. I made an appointment to have it taken care of and they said no loaners are available when the car is in for warranty work. Only for when the car is in for regular service intervals.
Is this a dealer policy? I've always had loaners available from Lexus, MB, BMW and even Saab and I expect similar provisions from Audi.

dealers vary on this, including the other brands you mentioned. I owned MBs before my audi, and getting a loaner from the MB dealer was like pulling teeth. The Ford and GM dealers ran circles around the local MB dealer in terms of customer service. (I have yet to hear anyone complain about Lexus though.) Audi has been great w/loaners, but it's only been in for 1 repair and one service. Got A4's both times & didn't have to ask.

Tell him you dont care about his 'policy'.
You want service or someone else gets your next business. After all its the USA not Ireland (oh!..we get loaners sorry).
PS show him your replies!!

yea, they'll hear from me about this when I bring the car in...
BTW, "The Collection" is a "high end" new car dealer as well... Ferarri, Aston Martin, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Lotus, and Audi.... not so "high end" service it seems though...

Give them a call and inquire if you can get a loaner if you bring your car in for warranty work. Most dealers will grant your request if you give them a week or two of notice. If that doesn't work ask to speak to the Service Manager and place a call to Audi of America to inquire on the policy and what your expectations should be.
I think it's a reasonable expectation to receive a loaner when your vehicle is in for warranty work. We get one regardless of what our vehicle is in the shop for.
Good Luck,

I also own an A8 and post in that forum as well. The owner of the collection is a poster there as well. Cross post this in there so he can see - maybe he will do something. His user name is Der Kimbo.
He is always posting up there..
He is in the A8 (D3 Platform) forum...
