Yesterday, I finally received the cable for connection my iPod to the AMI (had to wait 2 months!!!), but what a disappointment. Ok, it works, quality is good, but my iPod has a hd of 80 GB with approx. 8000 songs on it. So if I want to search for a specific title or artist the only thing you can do is keep scrolling! There's no search function! Or am I missing something?

I know that it's not the same as a search function, though, it might make usability a bit easier..

look in the <a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/q7/msgs/12832.phtml">recent thread by K2audi.</a> The photos clearly show several search options.
Also saw My friend's <a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/q7/msgs/11724.phtml">Dension Icelink 500</a> version and he was able to search alphabetically too IIRC.

As in search by typing in a name or title? I'm very happy with AMI, my only complaint being that you cannot shuffle nor repeat - at least I don't think so, I haven't fully explored the features.

Otherwise the MMI is switching to the top of your database again.
E.g. If you look for MX... and you have more than 50 artist starting with an M you can search on M but there are only 50 items available. Than you have to switch to page 2, and this page 2 don't show what you expect : the second part of artists with a M, but it starts with the A list.

I think this is fixed in firmware v1.04
