I fitted the Kufatec part today and all went well ...except it doesnt work!!
I am not a happy bunny. Everything done perfectly checked and rechecked but its dead as a DODo.

I suppose I can strip down the unit and check for signs of life inside it Monday but sending it back and trying get an answer from them is gonna take weeks!!

Did you use wire taps or solder? The instructions I received from Kufatec, you and Q7_UK (which were the same) had the correct wire pair colors but specified soldering the connections.

I did end up installing the module last night and I used wire taps instead of soldering. The install was pretty straightforward, fortunately, and went on without problems. I did not disconnect the battery (I probably should have...)

Soldered the three little wires and used awl to inject red and brown into thicker wires.
Worked live. Insulated it with my hot glue gun.

All appears fine but ran out of time and too busy tomorrow to pull apart.

Do you think the inners of the thick wire have coated copper?
That would be a treat..easy fix jus solder em too.
